Light Bulb Moment
This painting was inspired by one of my favourite New Zealand painters Phillip Clearmont. I wanted to focus on the relationship of individual hues of colour and how they create contrast through their intersection. This was my Light Bulb Moment - when I decided not to draw or paint restrictively (at least in my own mind) and started to paint freely, using my intuition.
